Hi, I’m Lori Rice! For years, I tried to force myself to “pick a lane.” To choose just one creative path.
To turn down the volume on all the things I loved so I could be “clearer,” “more focused,” and “easier to understand.”
But the truth is, I’m not just one thing. And I bet you aren’t either.
I’m a food stylist. A writer. A photographer. A consultant. An instructor. A creative business coach.
I’m child-free by choice and deeply committed to crafting a life that’s rooted in joy, freedom, and intentional creativity.
What I know for sure is this:
There’s nothing wrong with having multiple professional interests.
And you don’t need to niche down, quiet your curiosity, or constantly start over to make something beautiful and fulfilling.

I began my career in public health and agriculture, then transitioned into contract work in 2013. In 2017, I founded Fake Food Free Productions, LLC, a content creation company built around my love for food, photography, and travel. Soon after, I launched CreatingYOU.®, a home for small business resources and creative art.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of brands, businesses, and agriculture boards, developing and testing recipes, styling and photographing food, consulting on trends, crafting social media strategies, managing ad spends, writing and photographing cookbooks, editing publications, creating copy and blog content, writing for magazines, and teaching workshops in photography and styling.
